I saw a little girl wearing a cute dress one day and thought to myself, "Hey, I can make that." The next thing I knew I was at the fabric store buying fabric and ribbon. A few hours later, my little gosling had her own pillowcase dress. She wore it to church and got lots of compliments. She wore it to school--again with the compliments. I began getting requests for dresses from my girlfriends.

Just as I was beginning to make custom dresses for friends, tragedy struck one of my friends (and the director of our goslings' preschool). She lost her husband and father-in-law in a fishing accident. Please see The Palm Beach Post article for more information. Almost on the spot, I decided that I would start making the dresses in earnest and donate the proceeds* to her........ The Preppy Goose was born.
